9/11 Memorial

Local artist created this addition to the 9/11 Memorial, listing each name of the fallen fire fighters and police as  well as depicting the fallen towers and stairs that lead up to the clouds.

Ten-year anniversary dedication for this 9/11 Memorial. Twin towers are carved from 11′ basalt columns and polished to symbolize the  buildings. Pentagon is poured from charcoal colored concrete and inlaid with granite engravings on all sides.

Three of the engraved granite inserts on the sides of the Pentagon have plane logos with numbers, corresponding to the flight number and location, i.e. North Tower, South Tower, etc.

The concrete Pentagon was sack-finished with a charcoal stain and lines were cut to give a realistic appearance. The center insert is a dedication plaque and low-voltage lights were installed to light up the columns as well as the granite inserts on the face.

Large crowd gathers around to view the stainless steel antenna placed on the top of the North Tower during the dedication of the 9/11 Memorial, to honor the 10-year anniversary of the attacks. ‘Never Forget’.
